La Corbel, Palawan

A good place for a family getaway, road trip with friends or company events.

Located at KM 76, Barangay Binduyan, Puerto Princesa City. An hour and a half drive from the city.

It has rooms good for groups and families overlooking the beautiful view of the sea. (It’s not safe for swimming though because of the strong waves and brownish water during our stay).

You can have different kinds of relaxation and rest. They have a function area that can hold events and family gatherings indoor (with videoke).

If the weather is good, they also have wide space/ activity area for sports and other events.

They don’t have a restaurant so you will have to bring your own food or cook in the area. They have a kitchen and grilling area where you can cook and prepare food.

Downside- they only have the caretaker and few utility personnel to attend to us. But they were accomodating and helpful.

Areas for improvement:

The rooms don’t have numbers, hence, the ruckus looking for our room assignments-provide room number info.

Maintenance of the place can be improved- which some are already ongoing like the bermuda grass and other landscaping.

However, regular cleaning and maintenance of the rooms should be done also. (Example, the exhaust fan in the bathroom were full of dust already).

Overall, the RTN ladies had a great time.👌

Will I go back? Definitely but not soon because a lot of improvement has yet to be done.

Inflatable Adventure in Palawan

A 30-45 minute drive away from the city, Kamia Bay Resort in Binusalian Bay at Barangay Luzviminda is perfect getaway for family and friends.

The inflatable playground will surely test your strength, strategic skills and courage (to slide the 35 and 40 ft slides) while having fun. The adventure also includes eco trail and water sports like kayaking and jetski tours.

It is a 3,800 square meters wide of play area. The inflatable adventure includes obstacle courses with 40-feet high inflatable slide, human launcher and trampolines.

For their rates, please see photos below:

(They provide life vests for safety. The other swim accessories like aqua shoes are for rent for P100.00. Clothes with buttons and zippers are not allowed. Just in case you don’t have any, they have a store where you can buy swim wear.)

We availed of the package with buffet lunch. Their food was ok- nothing special. Just right to feed our hunger for food.

All tickets and packages must be pre-booked at Amika Main Office in Puerto Princesa. Guests are encouraged to secure their tickets for better deals as the walk-in rates are charged higher.

And they also have a bike trail for bikers, the newly opened MTB Bike Trail. We have not tried it because of lack of time but according to the staff, the trail offers challenging routes for intermediate and professional bikers.

Their Rules, Do’s and Don’ts below:

Thank you, RTNMC for this year’s ladies tour. We definitely had a great time in Kamia Bay.❤️

Tip:

Try all the courses in the inflatable adventure. Do not let your fear prevent you from having the best time of your life.😊

B&P All Day Breakfast

An all-day breakfast restaurant, B&P serves good food in big servings.

Today, we tried B&P restaurant at the Cyberspace Alpha Ortigas branch. We tried the Don Malutong, Molo and Bangus Belly.

Don Malutong is a perfect blend of crispy pork belly, with adobo rice, egg and pickled relish. Must try!👌

The red molo’s broth is delicious. The dumpling’s too salty but overall, it’s ok.

We also tried their hot chocolate and strawberry lemon quench drink. The hot chocolate was too sweet but the strawberry was delicious.👌

The place is bright and has a beautiful interior. Definitely, a good recommendation when you’re at the Ortigas area.

Temple of Leah

Temple built of/ for love.

Located on top of the hill in barangay Busay in Cebu City. It is seven storeys high, and covers a land area of more than 5,000 square meters.

It was built as a symbol of love of Teodorico Adarna to his wife Leah Villa Albino-Adarna (grandparents of actress Ellen Adarna). The place showcases a Roman inspired architecture and a platform that gives a beautiful view of Cebu City, Mandaue and Lapu-lapu.

My husband was excited to visit the place to see 24 chambers that holds the art gallery and museum that contains collection from antiques to a library of books. Unfortunately, visitors were not allowed because of the ongoing renovation and construction.

It was still a worthwhile visit. 👍🏻

It was interesting to know how love can compel a person to build a temple that can stand for generations and be a symbol of his devotion to his wife and family.
